Castor

Story:

Castor is a character out of Marcius story which plays in the ancient Rome (Marcius can be found [url=http://subeta.net/pets/Marcius]HERE[/url]).
Castor is a big Wolf-dog hybrid that accompanies Marcius and is actually his only "friend" in the beginning of my story. Marcius was able to rescue Castors life, after he was severly injured in a fight, by begging his slave Master Titus for Castor cause Titus simply wants to kill the poor guy.
Titus grants Marcius that wish to keep the young gladiator occupied. Marcius is able to rescue the life of the wolfdog with the help of an old man, who takes care for injured slaves and gladiators. Castor was caught when still very young (nearly a pup) by hunters and sold to Titus. Titus only sees the gold he can make with the dog, by letting him fight and draw more people into his little private arena.

Castor actually is a very shy and gentle beeing, but needs to fight for his life in Titus arena, where animals often were used to "amuse" the rich masses while figting other animals or even humans.

After Marcius rescues the big dog, Castor from now on accepts Marcius as some kind of leader and Marcius is one of the rare persons who is allowed to touch him and the wolfdog trusts the young man more and more as time passes.
Castors look is based one a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, with shaggy long fur.
